Tuition - General Information
Tuition for all instruments is one-to-one and takes place in the studio at Witchford; plus help with the planning of GCSE performance and composition pieces can also be provided.
The current tuition fee rates are as follows:
Price per hour for new pupils as from 1st July 2009:
£21 per hour; £11.00 per half hour or £16 for 45 minutes.You can purchase these lessons in advance from our online

Teaching Aims
- Enable pupils to attain their realistic personal musical ambition.
- Improve existing and create new skills.
- Maintain enthusiasm for their chosen instrument.
- Inspire the individual to create their own musical material and arrangements, if so desired.
Teaching Method
There is no requirement to read music to start learning to play.All material is set in tablature or chord diagrams, these are simple and easy to follow. Direction obviously is given by the tutor, ongoing support via email is always available in addition to lessons.

All rates quoted are on a "pay as you book basis".However you can save just under 10% of the hourly rate, by booking 3 consecutive lessons in advance via the websites online shop.
Due to the pressure of time it is not possible to arrange home visits.

Guitar and Bass
All styles of music are catered for on the guitar or bass, excluding Classical and Flamenco guitar. The younger people start to learn to play the better, the lower age limit is six years old and no upper age limit.
The individual’s current ability to play is unimportant; beginners to advanced pupils are all welcome.There are no time limits on how long one has to attend lessons for, some pupils have been with the business for seven years or more, while others have a specific objective and may be moving on within a matter of months; the choice is yours.
For pupils under the age of thirteen it is compulsory that a parent or guardian be in attendance at the lesson, unless agreed otherwise.
Banjo/5 string bluegrass
Scruggs style picking, up-picking, mountain style and melodic styles are featured from beginner to intermediate levels.
Banjo/4 string tenor (Irish)
Folk and Irish styles featured from beginner to intermediate levels.
Ukelele
Beginner to intermediate levels,modern and traditional tunes, have some fun, easy to learn!
